Praying For Each Other

During this season of uncertainty, we must all see ourselves as connected.  We want to support each other, be for each other and yes, even pray for each other.  This site is designed for that very purpose.  Take a minute to share a request for prayer.  Others will see your request and will pray for you, when they do you will be notified someone has prayed for you.

Please share this site with many people.  You can share via social media, by text, by email or by simply picking up the phone.

We look forward to seeing what will come of this little experiment.

I have lived in Glen Ellyn for almost 20 years and feel so lucky to have wonderful friends and neighbors, because all of my family members are at home in Canada. Two weeks ago my only sister suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. She is still in a coma and on life support. If she doesn’t improve dramatically In the next two days, it will be too late. I do not believe it is her time to go. I will not give up on her. She is strong, she is kind, and she has always had faith I would be so grateful if you could include her – Bobbi-Lynn- in your prayers. Thank you.

My husband, Ed, was laid off work. Pray for God’s guidance during this time. Pray Ed has peace filing for unemployment and that he finds a new job that makes him happy. I truly believe this is a blessing in disguise as he has repeatedly said how much he loathes his job. Pray he finds something that gives him some joy and that God continues to provide for our family. Amen!

Thank you for your prayers for my friend, Natalia! God has heard the cries of His people. Although she remains in IUC and on the ventilator, the family did get news today that she slightly improved. Her blood work was in the normal ranges & her oxygen levels were stronger than yesterday. Keep asking Jesus in His great mercy to completely heal her body. She loves the Lord and I’m sure is praising His name even under sedation.

My friend, Natalia, in ICU is not doing well. The family has been told she has a 50/50 chance of not surviving. Pray for the Lord’s mercy for her life. Her children, ages 25 & 18, are so scared. The doctor also said it’s likely her husband also has the virus. He is now isolating from the children. PLEASE PRAY AS SOON AS YOU CAN!

My mom is going through chemotherapy for stage three colon cancer, she has done 8 of her 12 treatments so far and is on track to be done in May. With her being considered “high risk” for the virus, she has been staying home and totally quarantined. Please pray that she stays safe, healthy, and that is able to stay sane with the boredom of being cooped up at home!

My dear friend, Natalia, has tested positive for Covid19. She’s currently in ICU on a ventilator in Urbana, IL. Please pray for God’s healing power to clear her lungs so she can breathe on her own. Keep her husband and two young adult children in prayer too as they wait for updates from the hospital. Pray we all choose faith over fear at this difficult time.

Please pray for my neighbor and coworker whose husband has COVID19 and is in critical condition on a ventilator. She asked me to pray for his recovery and to ask others to pray. Pray for him, his family and for the health care providers caring for him.

Hi Parkview! Marla and I are thankful for your prayers for us as your missionaries to the Philippines. Please pray for us here in Manila as we are in week 3 of a 5-week lockdown for the majority of the country. Pray that we would be salt and light to those around us who are in need. Please also pray that for those missionaries that we are responsible for in different countries here in Asia that they too would be able to meet the needs of the sick and hungry near them. Thank God with us for opportunities like this to show Jesus love to others.

I live near Parkview, and my husband and I have attended a few services at Parkview. I feel my faith is being tested as I am sure many others feel right now. I am a nurse at a local hospital. I am scared for what I have seen and what is still to come. My husband and I have been recently trying to conceive. We have been pregnant twice now, and i just had my second miscarriage on Friday in the midst of the COVID pandemic at the hospital. I need to find strength to move forward. I want to thank the community for their support. When I left the hospital Friday, there were a number of posters and banners outside the hospital made by the community thanking us for our services. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but it is extremely supportive to the healthcare community and I found it especially supportive with the added layer of emotional distress i am experiencing. I prayer that the community continues to come together to persevere through this very challenging time to give me the strength to move forward and serve those that need help.

I pray for the anonymous post below as I personally can relate to the struggles and fear. i pray you have a healthy pregnancy and delivery that you may share with your loved ones and family.

My husband and I have gone to Parkview for 2.5 years. We moved to the Chicagoland area knowing not a soul and have been ridiculously blessed by the outpouring of this community. That being said, I firmly believe in the power of prayer from the community. I am nurse and a Case Manager in the emergency room. I am also 30 weeks pregnant with our rainbow baby. It is a scary time to be in this situation. We had to cancel our baby shower and many hospitals are not allowing laboring women to have a support person, meaning that my husband would not be there for the birth of our first child. My parents also live in MI and may not able to come for the birth. There is so much uncertainty and it feels like a cruel joke that after trying for a baby for over 2 years, our story goes this way. Prayers for peace during this time, as I can’t imagine going through labor without my husband. And I can’t imagine having a baby without my mom being here for a couple of weeks. Thank you so much for your unbelievable community, faith, and support. Again, we are so blessed to have found this amazing community of believers. Praying for all of you, that you have peace and health during this time.
